A stiffer 45 mm racing boom which is suitbale for the more experienced, heavier weight sailors. The MK4 45 mm boom for the Optimist is suitable for sailors above 45 kg.

The most popular round type maststep for the Optimist dinghy. This Optimist maststep has an oval cup, which allows the mast to tilt forward when going downwind. Different mast rakes can easily be repeated using the scale on the base. Separately a mast step spring lock can be purchased. The stainless steel spring prevents the nut from turning accidentally. There is no need for additional locking nuts anymore.
This bottom cover provides the best possible protection during travel. Made of 420 PU outside, high quality 190T innerlining inside and closed cell foam in between (only for traveling).
These Optimist buoyancy bags are made of polyurethane coated nylon and are about half the weight and significantly stronger than buoyancy bags made of PVC or PVC coated nylon. Some buoyancy bags are available with a twist lock tube valve. This valve is attached to a piece of tubing. With this valve the bag can easily and quickly be inflated and deflated. 48 liter buoyancy bags are slightly heavier than 43 liter buoyancy bags but after a capsize there is a lot less water in the boat.
